Daniel and Sarah Montes have started the Iron Palm Winery to remember and honor their family lineage. They currently reside in the Livermore Valley of California with their son Colton and their daughter Paisley. Their family lineage extends to many different wine growing countries including Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal.
Daniel's father (Daniel Sr.) was a Mexican immigrant who moved to the US as a teenager. Before moving to the US, Daniel's father worked with his father and grandfather on the family farm and ranch in the State of Nayarit. There the family branding iron and family crest was created. He has since become a very successful business man and well renowned in the Silicon Valley of California. Daniel's great grandparents are direct descendants of Italy and Spain.
Daniel's mother (Maria) was born in Portugal where an extensive family history was built. Maria moved to the US as a young child, settling in the Silicon Valley bringing their love for wine with them. Her parents became highly successful in business and are currently retired. Maria, has always been extremely supportive and loving to Daniel, Sarah and their son Colton which contributed to their confidence and desire to follow their dreams.
The three vineyards on the estate are named after Daniel's sister Tiffany, Brother Isaac, and son Colton.
We appreciate you taking the time to read about our family and we invite you and your friends and family to join us for a private wine tasting!
